Feature: lock comments on a post at any time #5901
Currently (correct me if I'm wrong), once a D* user makes a post, anyone with access to it can comment on it (subject to some bugs and other issues).
This leads to a problem of one's innocent post about topic X being threadbombed by people arguing about topic Y. It can be annoying, unwelcome, and unpleasant to deal with.
A post author should be able to disable commenting (or commenting further) on a post at any time during or after the post's creation.
For the Freeze Peach reddit types, this isn't "censorship," because my D* page is my joint, and if I don't want you talking in my joint, I have every right to throw your ass out. Further, you and your bros can carry on your conversation - simply elsewhere. See also https://xkcd.com/1357/
