SOAPSWAMP: Fix datatype problems - added HTML datatype with validation through jTidy - reworked graph generation layout - Using Ajax on index page to load individual tasks in background while page is already useable - All workflow stacks are loaded via ajax (good improvement for deep stacks) New features in 1.5.7: - SWAMP now provides newsfeeds for "my tasks" and all other workflow lists in RSS and Atom format (http://en.opensuse.org/Swamp/RSS) - minor webSWAMP fixes - webSWAMP: scheduled jobs can be triggered from admin page New features in 1.5.6: - updated to jakarta-regexp 1.5 - performance improvements in bugzilla connect, groovy script parsing, milestone loading - updated translations - updated to velocity 1.5 - Bugfix for data change listener condition New features in 1.5.5: - new Startpage with workflow descriptions and personal tasks - extended webswamp admin page - when editing data triggers some action, the results are shown - bugfix in role filters and evaluation New features in 1.5.4: - added framework for localizations (en, de, cs available) - completely switched to UTF-8 - user preferences page in webswamp - documentation updates - The latest workflows are shown on the workflow index page - Roles can be inherited and merged - Fixes for comment threads - More popups in webswamp (roles, workflow descriptions) - Generating workflow state description from active nodes - fixed positioning of calendar applet + loading .js with relative path - new plugin structure for easily adding new datatypes - added float datatype - added option for changing the parent of a subworkflow New features in 1.5.3: - Added parentworkflow attribute to workflow definition for easier verification - Added groovy (groovy.codehaus.org) scripting support inside workflows - Added generic Class for LDAP authtification - Data changes get propagated to all workflows that attach the dataset. - Added collapseable tree views for subworkflows in webSWAMP - added apparmor profile for SWAMP - new Executor class allows calling external executeables from scriptactions New features in 1.5.2: - Bugfix in Sendeventaction (onlyweekdays option) - Workflows can be deleted completely from the system New features in 1.5.1: - display of subworkflows/amount of displayed wfs per page can be set different for each workflow type - displayed columns can be configured by url parameter for different views - webSWAMP: added new views for "my tasks" and "all open tasks" - added new filter type memory filter that can filter eg. for task owners which cannot be mapped to a SQL statement. - webSWAMP: workflows can display their own logo on top of the page - added support for multi-select data fields - webSWAMP startpage now shows a personalized todo list for the logged in user - webSWAMP: Filedownload now sets the contentype New features in 1.5: - Workflows can include documentation files and a customized navigation that get installed automatically - Users can upload workflow definitions through the web interface - Added comment datatype which allows to create discussion threads inside a workflow. - Added scripts and docu for building + running SWAMP on Windows. - added statistic graph generation for amount of running workflows / time - added DATETIME datatype New features in 1.4.1: - removed ImageMagick dependency - removed generated files from project tarball - added HTML docu to RPM distribution, building as noarch - fixed Bugs in webSWAMP - Workflows can provide a script snippet to set their colour in the workflow list. (Useful for highlighting priorities) New features in 1.4: - Static roles - Admins + Workflow owners can add Databits to running workflows - WebSWAMP: improvements of the DisplayWorkflow page - Files can be attached (uploaded) to a workflow - Scheduler was inactive in public 1.3 release - Enhanced WorkflowVerifier: Catching more possible mistakes in workflow definitions - Fixed build problems of 1.3 release New features in 1.3: - Implemented SWAMP SOAP interface - Perl client for remotely using the SWAMP SOAP interface is available - WebSWAMP has URL shortcuts: /webswamp/task/<id> /webswamp/wf/<id> - added verifier class for semantic checks of workflow definitions New features in 1.2: - SWAMP is able to post comments to Bugzilla automatically. - Progress-bar hover effect on Workflow list page - Tasks can be restricted to groups. - Sendeventaction is more flexible. - Actions that were done automatically by finishing a Task are displayed. New features in 1.1: - a default GUI (Startpage, navigation menu) is automatically generated for available Workflows - SWAMP now has its own usermanagement which makes it independant of turbines one. - Role based SWAMP: Workflows can define roles and workflow-actions can be restricted to these roles. Standard roles are "admin", "user", "starter". - a new SWAMP-API that is between the SWAMP-Core and client apps (eg. WebSWAMP) takes care of the permission checking. - Filtering by role members now possible - Timer based actions implemented - new Scriptaction to alter the Workflow with Velocity scripts - User preferences (amount of displayed Wfs per page, configureable columns) are now stored permanent across sessions. - after doing a Task, a list with the consequences is shown. New features in 1.0: - SWAMP is now scaling to a much higher amount of workflows by using the MySQL DB as a transparent backend. (memory footprint and performance are independent of total number of existing workflow instances) - Using a workflow cache of configureable size shortens the access time to popular workflows - Filtered + sorted workflowlists are generated by filters, that are mapped directly to SQL statements - Workflows do not have an explicit attribute "state" anymore, the state is mapped implicitely by the workflows active nodes. (exception: Nodes may specify a type: start|end; Workflows with an active node of type "end" return false on isRunning()) - Actions can be marked as "optional" to be only displayed on the workflows detail page. (useful for "cancel", "finish" and other "standard" actions) - Active nodes will stay active when a workflow is finished - Mail-Templates are now scriptable, allowing IF-THEN-ELSE and so on. - Non-reachable Bugzilla does not block workflows GUI: - More friendly color scheme - persistently collapsable areas in the navigation bar for the different workflow navigations - Print-view of workflow lists - new column type "progress-bar" for showing progress based on reached milestones - the Task page also shows reached milestones - workflow list page displays configureable amount of items, browseable. - Error fields are highlighted red. Features of version 1.0RC1: - Workflows can attach Subworkflows and interact with them - A Workflows Dataset can be shared with other Workflows. - External Scripts can read/write data to a Workflow and trigger Events to change a Workflows state. - Automated fetching of data from Novell Bugzilla and storing in a Workflows Dataset. - Flexible versioning of Workflows by reading every version of a Workflow-type from a "Resource-Bundle". This contains the XML-Workflow Definition, Icons, E-Mail templates, and special Workflow configuration files. - Each Workflow can be configured to send Notifications with dynamic content at a certain state. - A Workflow can be extended with non-SWAMP functionality by referencing a Java Class in the Workflow Definition File. - The Workflow-List can be configured with filters and custom columns to best fit the Workflows needs. Description ----------- SWAMP is a generic Workflow-Management-System which does not contain any Workflow-specific code. The Workflowdefinitions are read from a XML File.
