• MySQL server
• MySQL client
• Perl with Crypt::Blowfish, CGI::Session, CGI, DBI, and DBD::MySQL
• Apache or other web server
• We highly recommend that you use .htaccess or some other method to enforce SSL connectivity, and ensure that the server is secure
1. Place the contents of the “htdocs” folder into the top level of your “htdocs”
2. Place the contents of the “cgi-bin” folder into the top level of your “cgi-bin”
3. Run database/renalconnect_schema.sql to generate the database tables
4. Open file cgi-bin/lib/ptms/ and modify the “local_settings” at the top to suite your particular installation environment
5. Access your new installation via a web browser (i.e. if you installed it at, navigate to or if you have SSL enabled) and sign in as with no password. Immediately change your password and administrator email account by clicking on “Account settings” on the top right corner of the screen
