  1. Add standard library types; add standard variables (standard in, out,…

    … and error); fine tune matching for standard library functions

  13. BitArrays now have types (restricted to Integers)

    + the aim is that a BitArray{T} should behave exactly as
      an Array{T} with the same data under all circumstances
    + bitpack/bitunpack functions to convert BitArray <-> Array
    + int() and similar integer functions no longer trigger conversion
      to Arrays; float() and others still do
    + added reinterpret (and bitreinterpret) functions
    + lots of fixes
    + improved tests

  1. Handle zero-length split cases correctly.

    This is insanely tricky to get right. Hopefully I did.
    StefanKarpinski committed Apr 16, 2012
  2. added typemin/max in bool

    this also makes min/max work on Array{Bool}
    carlobaldassi committed Apr 16, 2012
  3. Merge pull request #721 from carlobaldassi/sub_fix

    make sub() behave like ref()
    carlobaldassi committed Apr 16, 2012
  4. Generic split implementation based on the search function.

    There's one functionality regression here which is loss of the
    limit argument that regex split supported. It doesn't look as
    though anyone is using it right now though. Will add it back.
    StefanKarpinski committed Apr 16, 2012
  5. Fix subtle bug in substring search implementation.

    Exercised by: search("foo,bar", "o,").
