After being contacted by a user looking for Help, it was stated under #326 that Martin Pool thought it best that his email address be removed from the AUTHORS file. Martin has not worked on distcc for over a decade, so is no longer in a position to provide much support to users.

I actually didn't ask for this.

I am glad that I checked.

I will update the README file and make it clear that coming to GitHub is the best option people have at present. If I can work it in such a way that the email is unlikely to be used, I will restore it. I will ensure that the present attribution statements are retained.

Pretty sure the web page suggests to use GitHub and to use the mailing list ?
