the variable request.LANGUAGE_CODE has the value of the language i'm useing in the admin interface, not the one of the page i wanna see.

e.g.:
Admin Interface language: en

Page language: de => preview uses en

which version of the cms? what languages do you have in LANGUAGES and CMS_LANGUAGES?

I'm using django-cms v 2.4.3

LANGUAGES = [
    ('de', 'German'),
    ('en', 'English'),
]

I do not set CMS_LANGUAGES, so it uses the one from LANGUAGES (https://django-cms.readthedocs.org/en/latest/getting_started/configuration.html)

Can't reproduce.
Steps:

  • remove CMS_LANGUAGES from cms.test_utils.cli
  • run python runtestserver.py
  • Enter http://localhost:8000/de/admin (german admin)
  • Create a home page in german
  • Save
  • Create english title
  • Save
  • Click on "preview on site" button from the changeform of the english version
  • Open the toolbar by appending "?edit" to the url
  • Page is in english language, toolbar and admin stay in german
