I was getting this error:
'Settings' object has no attribute 'DATABASE_ENGINE'

I am running:

  • python 2.7.3
  • Apache
  • MySQL
  • Django dev

It was being caused by line 727 of helpdesk/views/staff.py

if context.has_key('query') and settings.DATABASE_ENGINE.startswith('sqlite'):

I changed it to this to get it to work:

if context.has_key('query') and settings.DATABASES['default']['ENGINE'].endswith('sqlite'):

It may not be the best solution, but it's working on my setup.

Is this fix in the trunk already? I have the same problem. Do I need to update mi local copy?
