Feature-wise, the same as the original but with a consistent Aeon style and colour scheme. Old Multiplex isn't available with this update, though that may change. Watched/Unwatched overlays haven't been added yet, though they'll arrive soon. This is something of a rush release so expect a problem or two.
…Flags buttons Added to the existing Advanced->Menus section
Light and Night themes can now be selected for Showcase, Multiplex and Stripshow views. However, the textures for Dark Showcase and Light Multiplex/Stripshow are very basic and should not be seen as production quality. Scrollbars have yet to be themed so expect issues there. In short, it might be best to avoid these themes until they're more developed. It is currently not possible to theme fullscreen info based on current view/theme, so only the light version is currently available. All textures were passed through PNG Gauntlet which reduced their size somewhat with no loss of quality. Weather backdrops were also changed from BMP to PNG, saving about 12mb in total.
The default browsing behaviour for Multiplex is now to wrap the contents around a central focused item. This can be reverted to the previous icon panel style using the Wrap: On/Off toggle. NOTE: There is a glitch at present that causes Wall view to open whenever this option is toggled. Simply re-select Multiplex and you'll be fine, and the problem won't reoccur unless you toggle again. Do not report this.
Unlocks List, Wall and Showcase views for TV shows, for users who want an alternative to default Multiplex view.
IMPORTANT: New font required. Visit www.aeonproject.com to download. Uses standard XBMC library images only - Fanart for large box, Show, Season and Episode thumbs for browser. All conform to a 16:9 ratio. Season labels are added by XBMC; the seasons thumbs need only feature textless artwork. Info popup options are the same as Multiplex for Movies. Always on is recommended for TV. Other associated updates: - extensive localisation support where required - initial redundant code clean-up for TV support in other views - fixes to movie Multiplex
Extra thumbs stored in subfolder of individual movie folder called "extrathumbs". The large thumb/no plot view will pull whatever images are in that folder and loop them as a slideshow. The two thumbs and plot view looks for files "thumb1.jpg" and "thumb2.jpg", again in the "extrathumbs" folder, so be sure to call two of your extra thumbs by those names. e.g. Silent Running/extrathumbs/thumb1.jpg Silent Running/extrathumbs/thumb2.jpg Silent Running/extrathumbs/<any additional images> There is an inherent problem with the largeimage controls that means they only disappear when they're replaced. So if you have a movie that doesn't have extra thumbs, thumbs from a previous movie will still show. This is a known issue. If you report it nonetheless I'll have to violate you.
For XP/Linux users who use the Launcher plugin to run emulators, etc, this option takes you straight to your Launcher browser from the Home page.
One-touch menu movement is no longer the default behaviour for the Home menu. Instead, pushing down on the relevant options triggers Library submenus while pushing Select goes to default Title views. One-touch can still be activated via the Customisation->Home menu, at which point the submenus appear when selecting relevant Home options. This behaviour can itself be modified thanks to Movies, TV and Music submenu toggles.
Star ratings now displayed alongside media flags. Furthermore, whenever flag/s are missing (i.e. when the nfo file lacks the required info) the surrounding flags will reposition themselves to fit. Dividing lines are also displayed and moved dynamically.
