- requires GLIBC_2.8 which is old (5 years) but apparently still used

Is that the only issue preventing phobos from working with glibc 2.8? Because if not then it doesn't seem worthwhile. |

Can't even build dmd (missing some newer ELF relocations, e.g. R_X86_64_PC64). |
