A pet project of mine is adapting the (extensive) wxWidgets documentation from TeX to XML.

The unstructured part of the reference manual would be written directly in DocBook, the Class Reference however in a special-purpose XML format. Among other things, the special-purpose XML file can be XSLT'ed into a chapter of the DocBook book.
