I proceed step-by-step https://docs.docker.com/compose/django/ and when I run
docker-compose run web django-admin.py startproject composeexample .

Message Unsupported config option for services service: 'web' appears.
Config when validated fine and docker up and running.

docker-compose --version docker-compose 1.2.0

PS: rewriting docker-compose.yml to version '1' works fine

Compose version 1.2.0 is very old, it doesn't support version 2 config. The latest stable release is 1.6.2, and the latest pre-relaese is 1.7.0-rc1. You'll need to upgrade.

Thank you very much. Installed from fedora22 system repository, I thought it's newest version. Thank you once again. :)
