IF you are on 4.5.0 you need to go back to 4.4 I believe. I spent about 6 hours trying to get 4.5.0 to work with no luck so I went back to release notes and grabbed 4.4.2 and it loaded no problem and works fine for me. The only thing is that 4.4.2 while it works fine gives you a message that 4.4.4. is the most current so it might be worth going with 4.4.4 but I can't say for sure that it will work. I know 4.5.0 did not work and 4.4.2 did work without doing anything different other than changing the version of Docker Desktop for Windows |

I thought so too. But accidentally did update to 4.5 from 4.4 and it didn't
break. Still works. I think when updating to 4.5 instead of fresh install
of 4.5 there must be some base files that remain and allow it to work, that
are broken if you do a complete fresh install of 4.5.
That said. Yeah, why do through the trouble of risking to have to reinstall
4.4 again!!? Better safe than sorry.

@mccaa25, I can confirm. I was using 4.5 on an older laptop and it was working. Switched to a new laptop and 4.5 was not working on a clean Windows 11 install. |

In another issue thread a solution was posted that seems to work:
Just go to the config file at
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Docker\settings.json, and set
"wslEngineEnabled":
true
that will fix this issue for v4.5 :)

I had Windows 10 and Docker worked fine.
Then I have upgraded Windows 10->WIndows 11.
Docker does not work.
I have uninstalled/installed it but the same result.
