Of course, We want to store microtime about logs, and also We use symfony with doctrine.
So, it will be very good, that doctrine can manage it, for example in annotation:

@ORM\Column(type="datetime", precision/fraction=6, nullable=false)

And in the schema:(create|update) command can generate field_name....DATETIME(6) NOT NULL

PHP's DateTime doesn't handle sub-second intervals, so the DateTime type cannot handle it correctly
