Implement Collection::aggregate() helper method #89

@vtdave

Now that the PHP MongoDB driver supports the aggregate function:
http://php.net/manual/en/mongocollection.aggregate.php

it would be good to introduce a proper collection aggregation method instead of having to go through the command method.

Hey jmikola,

I just wanted to pop back in here and see if there was any progress on this or some way I could help accelerate this?

Thanks for your help.

I can create a simple method wrapper today. The real feature I had in mind was something integrated into the query builder, but I suppose that can wait.

@vtdave

i'd rather have the proper solution, maybe an aggregate method for now with proper query builder integration later would be good?

I appreciate your working on this!

Where is documentation for this? Which version of doctrine mongodb has included this feature?

This is in the master branch, which is aliased as 1.1.x-dev (see: packagist). All of the commits in master that are not in the stable 1.0.x release can be found here.

There is no documentation for the doctrine/mongodb library (only ODM at this time). See the test cases in the PR for usage examples, but this is basically no different than the driver's own helper method, other than event dispatching support.
