I added a basic irc bot using raynes excellent irclj and brought danlarkins json library into the mix. next steps will be to break up this project into a few separate pieces: log parsing, irc, website and json in one chunk -- and a lightweight client-side tool to access that information remotely from the command line and/or repl.
