Currently, unicode characters will not work well in the ASCII-only email headers (and thus: the subject). This might be something that Django should handle, but it doesn't (1.3).

It turned out that HTML escaping was being used, preventing the usage of non-ASCII characters in text content (such as the email message body and subject).

Fixed in b8acacf.
