What is the purpose of this PR?
Man, like, what isn't the purpose of this PR amiright? But seriously though, we have this thing which generates data and also this API thing so this PR was intended to connect the two together. But it turned out that doing this involved making some pretty hefty overhauls to how the data generation stuff was doing it's thing.
