It would be great to minimize the number of use cases that require the inclusion of jQuery.

Here are the only uses of jQuery left:

  • parseHTML used in several places in templating and in Doc.Verbatim: this should be replaceable, but not trivially due to HTML idiosyncracies -- some root tags must be handled specially because they can only exist as a child of specific parents, eg. <tbody> as child of <table>.
  • event handlers on document in Input.fs: this should be replaceable, with care taken wrt browser compatibility; lower priority since this functionality is rarely used.
