In .NET Core >=2.1 there exists a .Join() method that takes strings and chars, and a .Split() method that takes strings and chars. However in .NET Standard, .Join() only accepts strings, and .Split() only accepts chars. This is an odd seeming, and inconvenient, limitation. Can this be added to a future version?

I believe these APIs got added in 8d6b0d8 and will be part of .NET Standard 2.1
