Plans for v1.0 / Stable Release #1500

Hi TorchSharp Team,

First, thank you for all the incredible work on this library. TorchSharp has allowed our team to develop ML tasks with ease thanks to all of your hard work.

We are a .NET shop looking at building and deploying our ML model training and inference pipelines natively in our own stack. TorchSharp is our ideal candidate for this, as it allows us to leverage PyTorch directly within our C#/.NET environment without the reliance on python.

As we plan our production releases for clients, we've found the current version of TorchSharp to be incredibly capable, and it already meets most of our core needs. While we are comfortable using pre-release versions, a stable "v1.0" release would greatly increase our long-term confidence. For us, a stable release signals API maturity and a commitment to long-term support, which is a significant factor in our planning and client discussions.

  1. Are there any plans for a v1.0 stable release of TorchSharp in the foreseeable future?
  2. If so, what are the key milestones or criteria needed to reach that point?
  3. If a v1.0 release is not the current focus, could you share the team's philosophy on the library's production-readiness and API stability for those of us eager to use it in production systems?

Any insight you could provide on this would be greatly appreciated and would help us plan our future development with confidence.

Thank you!
