Since DTA is apparently dead, what are good alternatives for the Windows desktop?

Your DownThemAll! and Browser Version and Language and Operating System

All DownTheAll! versions
Firefox Nightly 57.0a1
Windows 10 Creator's Update

Expected Behavior

DTA works

Actual Behavior

DTA doesn't work

Steps To Reproduce

Attempt to use DTA on Firefox Nightly

Additional info such as log extracts

Please enable Diagnostic Logging in the Privacy tab of the DownThemAll! preferences and either copy/paste essential part of the log or attach the entire log. Please note that the log may include sentitive information which you have to remove prior to posting it!

I was just testing a few download managers on Firefox 55
unfortunately the ones I tested (EagleGet and idm) use addons for integration (as mozilla blocked plugins) but said addons break FF 55 in different ways usually opening image links :(
IMO for the time being the best choice would be the flashgot addon (still works) for browser integration and a 3rd party download manager (I'm not going to suggest which as there are tons of them) with that managers addon disabled

For the bulk downloading stuff you can use cURL, it's not as nice as DownThemAll (cookie handling / UA spoofing is a pain in the ***) but at least it supports the syntax. For the "Download all links in page", you could try Snap Links Plus in a few months, but for now he hasn't ported the "Download All" action over from v2 - and no URL filtering of course. Download all images/embedded media I haven't found anything Firefox-addon-like for, I just use HTTrack when it gets that complicated.

Even with all the alternatives, I'll still be sad to see DTA go though, it was a really fast & simple tool for the niche it filled.

@ianamk Unfortunately FlashGot isn't supported by Fx 57 either.

@Mathnerd314 That's great for Linux, but I do most of my work on Windows.

@jdrch according to this spreadsheet (line 28)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TFcEXMcKrwoIAECIVyBU0GPoSmRqZ7A0VBvqeKYVSww/edit#gid=0
Flashgot is getting a webext port

ps I saw that link on a mozillazine thread (it was the only google doc in my history I can't find the thread that linked to it) I don't know who wrote it or if it's accurate :/
