copydoc does not correctly recognize a function signature containing array notation. I have many function signatures of the form foo(int a[], char *b) and foo64(int64_t a[], char *b) where I would like to copy the documentation from foo to foo64. Unfortunately if the signature contains brackets [] anywhere, the function lookup fails to find a match or finds an incorrect match.

I was able to work around this by adding [] to the FUNCCHAR on line 314 of src/doctokenizer.l:

FUNCCHAR [a-z_A-Z0-9,:<> \t*&]

FUNCCHAR [a-z_A-Z0-9,:<> \t*&[]]

But I'm not sure if this would have unwanted side effects. So far so good.

Makes sense indeed.

This bug was previously marked ASSIGNED, which means it should be fixed in
doxygen version 1.7.2. Please verify if this is indeed the case. Reopen the
bug if you think it is not fixed and please include any additional information
that you think can be relevant.
