At EMF 2024, I got 4 of R's broken cat ear PCBs, from which I have recovered whatever parts I could. Each had 14 SK9822 RGB LEDs, so I put all 56 of them on a single hexpansion. Naturally, this means that I will be only making one of them, but you are welcome try to replicate it yourself! Ask me about bare boards and maybe even the stencil at EMF, if you are interested!
Note: I'm significantly undervolting the LEDs at 3.3V. I had good luck doing that to WS2812-type LEDs, I hope I fare no worse here.
