The motivation

Among the biggest problems of most software projects are an incomplete and inconsistent specifications, low budgets, tightly calculated developement timeframes, and as a result from all these aspects an unsatisfactory software quality.

This is where the MDA-approach (Model Driven Architecture) can help: Automation by formalization and industrialization. Formally precise UML-models are created with a modelling-tool and serve as both, a formal documentation and the source for the generation of source-code.

droMDAry is a MDA framework, which can generate Java source code from a given business object model created with the modelling tool "Enterprise Architect" (more tools will be supported in the future). In addition to that, droMDAry offers the modelling and code-generation for validation and persistence information by supporting the widely used standards BVA and JPA.
