  • Follow the individual instructions for each type.
  • Be sure to match the format of the other data.

Adding an event, user group, or job

  1. Navigate to the _data folder. Contributing - Data
  2. Click the file you would like to edit. Contributing - File
  3. Click the edit icon. Contributing - Edit
  4. Fork the repository if prompted to. Contributing - Fork
  5. Add your content to the file. Each file will have an example at the top. You can just copy that and update it with your information. Contributing - Changes
  6. Say what changes you made and click "Propose file change". Contributing - Propose

Event Guidelines

  • Events should be organized by date and then time.
  • Use the event's location name for the location. Don't include address, city, state, etc...
  • Only include the month (short textual representation) and day(s) for the date.
    • If the day is a single digit, include a leading 0.
  • Exclude the time value if it is a multiple day event.
  • You only need to include the group if they have a user group.

User Group Guidelines

  • User groups should be organized alphabetically.

Job Guidelines

  • Jobs should be organized alphabetically by company and then job title.
