No channel icons in Chromium notifications afetr update

Afetr updating to 1.7 there are no channel icons from notifications sent through browser (I use Vivaldi, but it's probably identical to Chromium) from YouTube about new videos. Instead just the application icon is shown. I did not update my browser in a long time, so my only guess is dunst.

I managed to get notification info example:

Could you try downgrading to v1.6.1 to see if the issue was in the dunst upgrade?

Downgrading to 1.6.1 removes the issue, channel icons are shown in the notifications.
Had to test in Chromium, but it looks like the same (same notification):

I tried to reproduce this, but I don't get any icons from chromium. Do I need some other program for that?

What happens if you do dunstify -i /tmp/.org.chromium.Chromium.njdEUr "test" (replacing the path with the one you see in the dbus monitor output.
Can you also post output of dunst -verbosity debug -print when recieving both the original notification from chromium/vivaldi and the manual command with the same icon?

Sending notification wit hsame icon file produces the same icon in notification in 1.7
Downgrading to 1.6.1 and sending same notification using dunstify creates notification with just vivaldi icon.

There does seem to be a difference between vivaldi and chromium. For vivaldi, the raw_icon is true and for chromium it's not.

I tried to reproduce this, but I don't get any icons from chromium. Do I need some other program for that?

I'm not sure what are the exact steps to reproduce this. But I think that some things certainly are important: enabling native notifications in chromium (chrome://flags#enable-system-notifications) and installing libnotify. Pastebin with my dunstrc: https://pastebin.com/WYn1ZewQ
And for getting the notification itself, steps are such:

1. First, to reproduce notification with channel icon, downgrade to 1.6.1
2. Ensure that chromium uses native notifications
3. Allow notifications from youtube
4. Subscribe to some YT channel and enable notifications for this channel
5. Wait for this channel to upload a video so YT sends notification. It should have the channel icon
6. Then downgrade to dunst 1.7 and wait for another video upload to get notification, which will probably have generic chromium icon.
   I think that's as much as I can do without doing a clean install and writing down every command I run.

That's annoying to reproduce, since you're having to wait for a channel to upload a video. This makes it hard to git bisect. I did find this bug which might be related: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=962193. The link mentioned in the bug report is a website that does shows a notification with icon. I can reproduce 1.6.1 working and 1.7.0 not working with that. I'll investigate further.

So the reproduction steps are:

• open https://web-push-book.gauntface.com/demos/notification-examples/ in chromium
• enable notifications with the button on the website
• click on the icon button

No, I was mistaken. I can reproduce the bug using this site. If I restart chromium after changing dunst version (and restarting dunst from newly installed version) the bug does appear.
