I just installed the plugin in Moodle 2.6. Haven't done much with it other than activating it. However when I login with debugging set to developer mode and debugging display turned on, I get the following notice message each time I login:

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$profile_field in /auth/enrolmentor/auth.php on line 199.

Please let me know if you have any questions and when a fix will be available for me to test.

Best regards,

Michael Milette

I believe the problem is due to the fact that you commented out line 47 of settings.php. As a result, the $profile_field variable is not used. The solution is to either:

  • Comment out the line 199 in auth.php mentioned above for now as the variable doesn't appear to be used anywhere; or
  • Finish the implementation of the feature appearing on line 47 of settings.php.

On a side note, I'm not sure why this error isn't being reported in Moodle 2.5.1 debug mode.

Best regards,

Michael

Hello Michael,

Thank you very much for noticing this. I will update the plugin very soon! I had paused implementing the feature appearing in settings.php:47 because I had to rethink the approach to selecting the correct (custom) profile field.

It is also indeed strange that this error is not appearing in 2.4 or 2.5. I haven't used this plugin yet in 2.6. Give me a few days and Ill add a commit!

Again thank you very much.

Regards,

Virgil

Hello Michael,

I have just finished updating the plugin! You should notice that I have now implemented the feature corresponding with profile_field. I have also bettered my code!

Can you review and confirm that you no longer have errors?

Hi Virgil,

Thank you very much. While I have not tested the new functionality, I did install the plugin and have yet to come across any errors in the code. Well done. Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Michael
