I don't have a place where to put it yet but here it is:

We shall write down instructions for upgrade paths to Lyo 4.0 – what has to be changed, added, removed etc. Also, some simple rules of a thumb would be great here.

Rule 1: if you are using 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT artifacts, you are using an abandoned branch started after 2.1.0 release. First, try to replace the version with 2.1.2. If your tests fail, you might be using the functionality that was added to 2.2.0. Use that version and if everything works, update to 2.4.0 which is the latest 2.x release.
