This is the default and very important "step backwards" key in photoshop, which spectacle clobbers. It took me many angry years to realize that spectacle was breaking the most used shortcut in a Photoshop. Anger and pain, change default?

Sorry to hear about that! I don't really want to change the default, since it has been there for so long. In a future release I can try and make it a bit more obvious what the default hot keys are. I plan on doing a revamp of the UI sometime this year or early next year.

actually, the bug should be to not clobber the active application's shortcut. But I have no idea if that's possible.

There will always be conflicts. I think making the defaults more visible can help those identify a potential issue sooner (and change the defaults accordingly).

Considering introducing a brief tutorial to help explain the default hot keys. Labeling this as a future enhancement.
