A question about gradients. The reference icon has a gradient which I omitted because of the rules for the icon set:

…your icon must:

  • have solid colours. No gradients or fades.

But I've just noticed that there now are icons with gradients included, e.g. the Apple Music icon:

Does the rule still stand?

The gradient thing is more a suggestion, really. And mostly to keep the size down.

I do have a question about notability though. I've not heard of these people, their website is vague, and there's no Wikipedia entry. Can you tell me a little more about them please?

Apereo is a merge of the Jasig and the Sakai Foundation. It's much like the Apache Foundation an umbrella organization for a number of open-source projects like CAS, Sakai, Opencast,
uPortal, … to provide resources to these projects and give them a legal representative. Unlike Apache, Apereo is mostly focused on software for higher education though.

I'm involved in one of the open-source projects they steward and liking your project, I thought I might as well add their logo. But it's okay if you don't want to add it. It's your project after all ;-)

…and I should probably let them know about the missing Wikipedia page, thanks.

Thanks for this. @lkiesow - I'm granting you commit access to the Repo. This is per the advice of The Pull Request Hack.

Please use this privileged wisely.

Thanks! I'll make sure to use it carefully. The Pull Request Hack actually sounds like an interesting idea and something I might actually consider to use for a few of my projects as well.
