Transliterator

A library for translating UTF-8 characters to their ASCII equivalents. This library is based on code from the babosa gem and meant for projects that only need the transliterating functionality.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'transliterator'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install transliterator

Usage

Transliterator::Text.new('text').transliterate(
  Transliterator::Base.instance,
  Transliterator::Cyrillic.instance,
  Transliterator::Greek.instance,
  Transliterator::Latin.instance
)

Contributing
