Release notes:
This new version brings a few bugfixes and a lot of new features and enhancements. The "Favorite tags" feature will hopefully be quite useful to a number of users that wanted a folder-like interface. There are also two security fixes in there, and while they probably won't impact the majority of users, are worth updating for.
Breaking changes:
The timestamping options have been completely redesigned. If you were using a custom TimeStamping Authority you will need to readjust your settings.
Bugfixes:
- Re-enable the body content recovery mechanism on session timeout
- Fix Zip import (fix #2893)
- Prevent sort buffer size bug in MySQL by removing metadata column in show mode
- Fix thumbnail image rotation (fix #2972) (only thumbnail is rotated now, not original image anymore)
- Fix PDFA/A not being generated if attached files contains a png image with transparency channel (fix #2992)
- Fix CSV report (fix #2994)
New features:
For Users:
- Add "Favorite Tags" side panel to easily browse tags marked as "Favorite" (pull #2974): see doc.
- Allow "type: url" in JSON metadata and make it clickable in view mode (fix #2963)
- Create thumbnails from uploaded HEIC images (see #2973)
- Show unfinished items steps in todolist (fix #2846 by Marcel Bolten)
- Allow filtering items types on "Add Link" input
For Admins:
- Add an "Export" panel in Admin Panel to export a full category of database items in different formats (fix #3029)
- Vastly improve the items types Admin Panel interface: add steps and links (fix #1495)
For Sysadmins:
- Display which query is being run during db:update (will help troubleshoot in case of failure)
- Reinstate the NameIdFormat SAML option (fix #3012)
- Improve the timestamping configuration with pre-set choices and don't require certs for custom TSA (fix #2805)
- Show an error in Sysconfig Panel if "Instance URL" setting is not set
Enhancements:
- Hide "Forget Password" and local login button if "Show Local Login" is disabled
- Don't allow users to toggle lock even if they have write access (fix #3009)
Dev corner:
- Remove deprecated tinymce options
- Move the @types to devDependencies
- Update dependencies, as always
