While we do support YARN, since Hadoop2 breaks backwards compatibility for mapreduce package, we are shipping a distinct jar for it. This creates confusion for the users which need to be aware of the environment they are running against which creates all sorts of issues.
Ideally we would address this by doing auto-detection and bundling both class variants within the same jar so no matter the environment, things just work.
