Failing write jobs result in duplicate errors #190

When dealing with a failing job, the close method tries to save any buffered data (which is likely unsaved by the previous error) resulting in duplicating the runtime errors. The behaviour should be avoid and flushing of remaining data succeed only if the runtime execution was successful.
