I'm having 24'' screen, and i'm using all of it's height and width when creating dashboard.
At most I used 3 visualizations in a row (3 metrics or 3 pie chart for example)

When I open my dashboard in my mobile device (iPhone 5) or in a reduces size of my browser the dashboard not looking good,
I think it should be responsive designed (flexible to browser size and device) to fix next display issues:
(See pictures)

  1. Metric's font size stays large and if screen size too small I get dots instead of numbers. In my Iphone I get only dots in all of my 3 metrics in the row).
When I use 2 metrics in single row which one of them is float number I get numbers instead of values (specially in my iphone).
  2. When trying to display 2 pie charts in a row, If one of them contains legend - I get the message "This container is too small to render the visualization".it's better if they would appear one above the other. Also It's better to show the chart without the legend than showing the message.
  3. Histogram looks good!

There might be more problems with other visualization types but didn't check all...

reactive design font size
reactive design pie chart container too small
reactive design histogram good

Three suggestions for mobile adaption:

  1. Make every visualization to fit the whole width (no columns)
  2. When selecting dates in histograms, filter away any vertical movement. Right now it is hard to scroll the screen. Alternatively disable the select time feature when on a mobile. Or use pinch to zoom when touch is enabled.
  3. Remove as many borders as possible and hide legends as default.

Thanks for all hard work!

Mobile is critical. I sure hippo responsive design is part of Kibana 5.

It would really be great to be able to dynamically add bootstrap classes (e.g., col-sm-6) to visualizations when you have two in the same row, or col-sm-4 when there are three in a row on mobile devices.

Please add the ability to disable all effects creating spacing around the borders, to allow all visualizations resizing to very small sizes.

There is a native iOS app for Kibana, Have a look at this post. You can download the App Octagon Analytics from App Store.
