Overview

Update: we corrected the versioning on this release on 1pm GMT 29 Apr.

If you have trouble pulling, please just do the following:

git fetch --all --tags
git reset --hard origin/master

All users are recommended to upgrade to this version, and after doing so, resync the blockchain from the v6 fork (or from the beginning of the blockchain) - whichever is easiest for you. This will correct the difficulty on any node.

We have had an issue where nodes had slightly different local block difficulties because of changes to the difficulty window in v 6+7. This was occasionally causing a disruption to the blockchain.

We will negate the requirement for the resync step in our next hard fork release, which will automatically realign/correct everybody's historical cumulative difficulties at the hard fork block, and as a consequence, realign everybody's single block difficulty too.

For your peace of mind, we have contacted all exchanges and pools manually to get them to upgrade.
