From EC:
regarding I Got It Bad, DE5614e, a small excerpt of it has been used to edit the
live recording DE5613m; the edited version was issued on “Duke Ellington / Buck
Clayton All-Stars At Newport” Co CL-933 (and on Co CK-48654). Therefore, the
fragment of DE5614e should be listed on all these records too.
DEMS 99/4 p.17: "Only 16 bars, the first half of Johnny Hodges' first chorus of
I Got It Bad, have been replaced by studio material, because Johnny had
mouthpiece problems at bar #1 and bar #9. These 16 bars occupy on both
recordings the space between 0:16 and 1:14. The original concert version is on
the second CD track 2 and the edited earlier released version is on the same CD
track 17."
Concerning session 20 March 1939.
