Markdown Emoji for Rails
Want to include emoji in your rails app? Well now you can!
Warning This gem is very new and under heavy development. Use at your own risk :)
Add the following line to your Gemfile
When creating a new markdown renderer, just use
markdown = Redcarpet::Markdown.new(MdEmoji::Render) markdown.render("Hello :smile: world!")
Emoji assets will automatically be picked up by the asset pipeline and made available to your app at:
For a full list of supported emoji, just run
MdEmoji::EMOJI in your console.
