company completion inside dap-ui-repl for python

Hi there!

How do I get company completion working in python inside dap-ui-repl? I can see in the documentation that company will be selected if exist (and I have it in my doom config). Am I missing something?

I am also struggling with this. Code completion in dap-ui-repl will be a game-changer. I have seen images where some people have code completion working in dap-ui-repl mode, so I am assuming it's possible. I tried to find some instructions here and there, but so far could not make it work.

it turns out it is related to doom emacs as company backend was managed differently and was overwritten.
