At first glance i don't think this will work. Because if a view does not have a tag then tagObject(line 279) will be null and String.valuesOf()(line 280) will throw a NullPointerException. So check for null before doing String.valueOf()

will return the string "null" if value is null.
ah ok, sill me i googled for String.valueOf(null) and found that it does indeed throw an exception because it chooses the String.valueOf(char) overload but this does not as it will always choose the overload with object parameter.
