Hi, I'm using Dropzone.js for image uploads. First of all, great plugin! I love how easy it makes drag and drop uploads:)
My users often upload large numbers of files at once. In a recent example, they tried to upload the files in this Dropbox folder (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/biboig4mrk2wfuu/AABIGKCSYJP2vrIeoIynZhDEa). All up, the files are 262MB. What I found was that RAM usage shot up to over 2GB and then the Chrome tab crashed. I have found similar issues with other plugins and found that it was the thumbnail generation that seemed to cause the issues. However, even when I disabled thumbnail generation, RAM usage was still an issue. Any ideas on what else could be chewing up a lot of RAM?
PS this happens on all kinds of OSs. Have tested on Windows 7 + OSX 10
Oops ignore this. It was the thumbnail generation. I was altering the settings in the wrong file. Works fine now that I've lowered the thumbnail generation threshold to 1MB.
