Update of German and French translations, based on the changes recently merged.
Also includes a small change to prevent error messages about English translations not being available.
German translations were mostly there already, only a few additions (on a best effort non-native German speaker basis).
For the French translations I took the changes in @Philmore971's fork (in his fork, he changed the texts in the source directly).
