We recently had a situation with odd errors due to a folder not being present anymore on the disk. If the RMS job would check that the entries in RMS_PYTHONPATH and RMS_PREFIXPATH actually exists when loading then that would have made the situation much easier to reason about.

I'm not sure whether this is a good idea.
