v10.0.0 stable, Windows 10 x64.
Import Files and Directories dialog Issue

Symptom

Trying to type into that text box instead of using the browse button, GUI locks the program and appears crashed for 60+ seconds. Anyone who is likely to be typing WILL want to type more than 1 letter, and typing 2 letters in that box ALWAYS triggers the issue.

How to Reproduce

Right click a project and go into the Import Files and Directories dialog which is a custom file picker dialog.
Place the mouse cursor anywhere inside the text box, type any letter. The cursor will reset to position 0.
Type any letter again, while the cursor is in this location (which it resets to anytime you invalidly enter input), and the program will presumably try to parse an invalid drive letter such as XC:\ (or FE:).
It takes about 120 seconds to resolve. When it does realize it can't find it, it remembers that drive letter is bad so typing the same bad letter combo again would not lag.

Desired Outcome

Do not attempt to resolve double letter drive letters (XE:), since the behavior is to reset the cursor to position 0.

Additional Thoughts

  • Ctrl+A, Ctrl+V into that box works when you toss it a valid path. So thats good.
  • When a Valid directory path is in the box, and has subdirectories: when appending a \ to the end: it starts to show them, but typing anything else just resets it. (only way is with a mouse click - very unideal.)

  • Mouse Selecting a certain portion and typing a valid path, also does not work.
  • Theres multiple ways to solve this, and I dont want to explain it all because fixing File Pickers is re-inventing the wheel.

700kb Animated GIF showing the error (like 45 seconds be patient).
