As each hour progresses, the display goes increasingly haywire.
At the start of each hour, the face shuffles all physical LCD pixels. Another sixth joins the animation every ten minutes until the whole display is active. At each 4 Hz callback, a long-period pseudorandom sequence chooses a new set of pixel toggles. This keeps the original lively pace without returning to the older 8 Hz foreground wakeup rate, and avoids a short repeating frame loop.
Low-energy mode freezes the active pixels into a static snapshot and only adds the next group at a ten-minute boundary. The implementation supports all four COM lines on the custom LCD, writes only pixels whose state changed, and returns to face 0 after Second Movement's configured inactivity timeout.
