Well, we use cowsay to print speech bubbles, so what? I think we can do that on our own.

And maybe modify the fileformat a bit to something more... better?

And one problem many ponies have today is that the line from the bubble is missing the ponys location.

If we remove cowsay dep. we can improve the format, which I already have done in https://github.com/maandree/unisay
I suggest using it as a base.

Features include:
/ directional link between bubble and pony, instead of just \ .
Full Unicode support.
Selectable bubble style, so you can the nicest your terminal supports.
Placing the bubble anywhere, for example below instead of above (beside the pony is not yet implemented)
Specifying the minimum size of the bubble, so the link doesn't connect the outside the bubble.
Support for figlet style messages.

I would prefer to have !java as language, but the fileformat might be interesting :)

Only »Selectable bubble style, so you can the nicest your terminal supports.»
and placing it to the right of the pony is not implemented.

Version 2.1 is soon ready any will now longer use the cowsay format.

Status report:
Backend is malfunctioning under TTY, otherwise everything is stable.
For KMS and PNG support and for generating ttyponies, util-say 2.0 is needed (it is not yet available in AUR)
rainbowdrag is POC for »/ directional link between bubble and pony, instead if just \ .»
Ponysay is written in pure Python, nothing else.
