Hi,

I think it would be more convenient if moving the mouse on a pane move the cursor and highlight the line the mouse pointer is on. So, if users places the mouse pointer on the empty space of a pane, they know precisely what file they will open.

This is convenient when using the mouse to scroll and click on some file. Users won't have to move the pointer on a file to not misclick and they can place the mouse pointer close to the edge to move back and forth between panes.

Hello tuhdo,

Finally I found the time to implement your request. Could you please try
this experimental version of SC and tell me how do you like it:

http://joseito.republika.pl/experimental/sunrise-commander.el.gz

also, if you use the tree extension you may want to give a try to the
updated version:

http://joseito.republika.pl/experimental/sunrise-x-tree.el.gz

I'm planning to release these new versions in a few days, after testing
them some more.

Merry Christmas,

Thanks. Work like charm! Exactly what I asked for.

@escherdragon escherdragon +Added "cursor follows mouse" feature (#24)
Now both the pane cursor and the line highlight follow the mouse cursor whenever
mouse movement is detected. This feature is enabled by default, but can be
easily disabled by customizing the `sr-cursor-follows-mouse' custom variable.
