E Text Editor, also know as just E, is a text editor for Windows (and soon Linux), with powerful editing features and quite a few unique abilities. It makes manipulating text fast and easy, and lets you focus on your writing by automating many manual tasks. You can extend it with many languages, and by supporting TextMate bundles, it allows you to tap into a huge and active community.

Getting Help

The Forum

The primary means of involving yourself with the E community is via the forum:

There is an IRC channel dedicated to E on Freenode: #etexteditor.

Submitting bugs

There are currently two ways to submit a bug report:

  1. The bug reports section on the forum.
  2. The bug tracker.

Requesting Features

There are currently two ways to request a feature:

  1. Uservoice.
  2. The feature request section on the forum.

Generally we encourage you to discuss your ideas on the forum and then post them to Uservoice once you have a well formulated feature request. Be sure to check Uservoice before submitting a new feature request, and be sure to vote for the features you wish to see implemented. If you do post a request to Uservoice, also let us know on the forum so that other users can go and vote for it if they wish.
