Version: `0.9.3`
OS & Version: osx
Node version: `geth 1.7.2`

i am going to transfer some eths from my mist wallet to bitfinex exchange address (0xb1477242e39d454dd9c429f8bdcfaca66db3f029), and it comes up one error, says "it seems this transaction will fail. if you submit it it may consume all the gas you send"
another message is "the contract won't allow this transaction to be executed"
what should I do to fix it?

Try to disconnect wallet for 2 hours. Try to send again transaction with a macsimum allowed fee. Check current gaz price at gas statiion: https://ethgasstation.info/

Current price is 40 Gwei, yo need to set 50 and more to finish trasaction fast. If you will not do it with Myst, just giv up and go to myetheriumwallet which much simpler and stable.

@begetan Where can I set the gas price? I've tried to increase tx fee, but failed again.

@jacktang

You can only move slider to the maximum and it should change gas price. But it's a bit unlclear. You can set it directly in anothere wallet application. Network only cares about this price.

I'm also having issues, transaction is on the chain but has been pending for the last 7 hours. How does one go about getting their transaction "unstuck"?

@zacblazic

You should turn off you wallet, so after 1-2 hour you transaction will disapper and will not appear back in blockchain. After that you can send it again buy using MyEtherWallet.com with manual setting of the Gas limit.

You can determinate save Gas price from this site: https://ethgasstation.info/ only "Fast" option can garauntee transaction conformation.

@begetan & @zacblazic
I've the same problem of "stuck" but on etherscan my transaction (of 1 ETH) results "out of gas" and failed, with 21K of gas used... After 3 days the transaction is already present. Any solution?
Thx in advance

I have same issue, I continued with this transaction with 100 ether on Ropsten Test network and I lost every thing in my balance. I am using 0.9.3 version with 1.8.1 Geth (while updating Geth it is a possibility that I lost entire balance. and I again have to resync everything I mean it is downloading all the blocks again.... don't know why!)

I have asked a similar question below is the link.

I'm also having the same issue...Is there a way to set the amount of gas for a transaction on Mist (Ethereum Wallet)? It seems you can only change the price but the amount of gas is fixed.

I think it's trying to warn you not to use bitfinnex.

I run into the same problem running the token example on the official website of Ethereum. There are several other errors generated during the process, which I've resolved. It's frustrating for beginners like me to run into these problems, even though I follow every step on the website and copy n paste the example code.
