Add support for GoodWe via cloud (SEMS Portal)

Hello!

The current GoodWe integration relies on Modbus TCP, which (if I understand it correctly) is only available via the LAN Kit, which I do not have. GoodWe does offer a cloud interface called SEMS Portal, which does seem to offer a web API.

Possible solution
If supported, a user could add the plant ID to the config yaml file so evcc can access the data to that station via the API if evcc supports retrieving data via that API. According to the Home Assistant integration, this way of retrieving data seems to be possible:

The required ID of your Power Station can be retrieved by logging in to the SEMS Portal with your credentials: https://www.semsportal.com

After login you'll see the ID in your URL, e.g.: https://semsportal.com/PowerStation/PowerStatusSnMin/12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012

In this example the ID of the Power Station is: 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012

This feature of the GoodWe integration is useful to all GoodWe Inverter users who only have the WiFi dongle for the inverter.
Maybe, such an integration is possible?

Cloud access will be useless most of the time as the update rate is to low and the latency is much to high for measurement at the grid meter.
It is essential for the regulation loop that the grid meter data is reliable, fast and always up to date.
We try to avoid and remove any cloud API access where possible as it will frustrate the devs and the users.

I only had the idea of the cloud integration because I saw the tibber integration, which is using a "token". I don't know, but guessed that this integration also uses web data from tibber...

I had the same Problem. Modbus TCP was no Option because of the missing LAN-Dongle.
My HomeAssistant Integration uses UDP but i didn't fount a way to use this in EVCC. At the end i'm using MQTT to get the Meters from HomeAssistant to EVCC and it works perfectly now.

Thank you for describing your solution. It seems I might need to have a look at HA after all - I was hoping I could rely simply on evcc without needing to look into or run Home Assistant in the first place.

@premultiply I'm wondering: if Home Assistant can get the data locally via UDP, do you see a chance for evcc to do the same for a more direct integration of GoodWe inverters and evcc without detours over HA?

I installed Mosquitto as HA Add-On (MQTT Broker) and i'm using Node-Red (HA Add-On) to publish the meter entities via MQTT. In EVCC.yaml i also set up my MQTT Broker and the topic i've chosen MQTT. This was (for me) the easiest way.

Hi, I use an RS485 adapter with my Goodwe Hybrid Inverter. Works very well.

I also had a LAN adapter. But with that, the connection to the SEMS Portal stopped working. I couldn't find the reason for this.

Hi @herrmayr ,
i contacted the Sales Team located in Munich. Because i have the same Problem, they told me that they can activate Modbus Server via WiFi remotley. I'm still in contact with them and they have not activated this yet but i'll post an Update if this is working.

Yes, it worked.
i now use the tcpip configuration and Inverter IP for the connection instead of using a RS485 Adapter.

Finally it worked for me, too. I had to call the service phone number and then it only took them one day to activate modbus/TCP.

Hey guys, I have a PV system using a Goodwe GW8K-ET inverter and tried to connect it to evcc. I set up a Raspberry Pi 4 and installed evcc successfully but failed when trying to configure evcc. I read a little bit in the discussions and realized that I need to activate Modbus TCP first. Unfortunately, I do not have any clue how to do it as I do not have any experience with programming. My inverter is equipped with a Wifi device. Do I really need to buy the official Wifi/LAN device offered by Goodwe or is there any other way to activate Modbus TCP? DanielKa-032 mentioned that Goodwe can activate it remotely and no additional tools might be required?! I would be very thankful for any kind of assistance as I am trying to get somehow started. Start with the GoodWe Integration. Easy first step. Search GoodWe in Setting -> Integrations. Enter your IP of the Inverter. Then you should see your entities.

Mittlerweile gibt es doch das GoodWe over Wifi Template in EVCC.

Nutz doch einfach das. Ging bei mir problemlos parallel zu HA.

Die MQTT Lösung müsste eigentlich mittlerweile überflüssig sein

Kannst du nochmal deine config posten? Ich verstehe nicht wo battery 1 power und pv 1 power herkommt.
Beim Start werden ja alle Meter gefunden.

Was mir noch aufgefallen ist:
Du nutzt EVCC ja als AddOn in Ha, hier habe ich als host bei mir IP:8123 eingetragen (also mit Port)...das fehlt bei dir. Keine Ahnung ob das damit zusammenhängt, aber das ist mir aufgefallen.

Kann da jetzt keinen offensichtlichen Fehler finden. Scheint aber irgendein Timeout-Problem zu sein.

Erweiter mal deinen Host um den Port (:8123)...wenn das nicht hilft musst Du evtl. mal einen Issue aufmachen.

Das ändern der Hostadresse in host: 192.168.149.80:8123 # IP Adresse von Home Assistant hat auch nichts gebracht.
Vielleicht ließt @herrmayr ja auch mit und kann zur Lösung beitragen.
Der Wechselrichter hat ja verschiedene pv power.
